EMPOWERING READERS TO REACH NEW HEIGHTS
Why is learning to read so hard?

If you or your child are asking this question, you have come to the right place.
There are several factors which impact a person's ability to learn to read. It is important to not only understand these factors but also be able to teach to them. That is where I come in. I use a diagnostic approach to determine what aspect of learning to read is impeding success. Then, I create a targeted instructional plan and teach accordingly. I have successfully used this practice for many years in the public school setting and am now offering it in a private setting.

UPDATE:
We're open for in-person sessions and assessments again!
The following protocols have been put in place in an effort to follow current CDC guidelines.

General Office Area
-In an effort to minimize traffic flow in the waiting area, we are asking that you text when you arrive and wait outside or in your car.
I will come out to greet you and let you in.
-Everyone entering the offices must wear a mask and maintain a social distance from others while in the office area.
- Hand sanitizers are available in the waiting area. Soap and water is available in the bathroom.
- We are asking that you/your child stay home if you/your child have/has a fever, are not feeling well, or have/has come in contact with someone who has COVID-19.
-If possible, please have your child use the bathroom before leaving home. This will minimize traffic in the bathroom area.

Treetop Achievement Office
- All students will be asked to wash hands on the way in. I also have Thieves hand sanitizer (65% ethyl alcohol) in the office.
-Each child will have his/her own folder with a pen and materials that will not be shared with any other students.
-The work area will be wiped down between students.
-I will keep my social distance from your child when we are working together.
-It is difficult to wear a mask when teaching unvoiced sounds, so I have a plexiglass shield that stands on my desk between me and your child so neither one of us will need to wear a mask while working.
- I have a temporal thermometer which I can use to take both your child's temperature and my own.

Since we all have different comfort levels with this current situation, online sessions will still be available for instruction.
